Maternity Services - North Manchester General Hospital

In 2010,  the Trust invested £35m to improve maternity facilities and services for women, children and babies at North Manchester General Hospital.

This investment was part of a scheme called ‘Making it Better,’ a Greater Manchester-wide programme of change to maternity services. The new development and investment means that North Manchester General Hospital is now able to offer a full range of high quality maternity services to women, children and babies.

The facilities are bright and spacious and there is a dedicated team of specialist doctors, nurses, midwives and allied staff on hand to provide women with the highest quality of care. The Bluebell Birth Centre is our co-located midwife led unit, which offers a fantastic low tech environment for low risk women to birth their baby.

A film about the maternity unit at North Manchester is available to watch on the Trust’s YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og9hWAlr50o
