Salford Care Organisation’s Chief Officer James Sumner will be leaving the organisation.
Northern Care Alliance Chief Executive Raj Jain has shared that news that James is leaving to pursue a fantastic opportunity to take up the role of Chief Executive at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Raj said: “Although I am obviously very sad to see James leave our organisation, I am incredibly excited for him as this is a wonderful achievement and a really positive career development for him.
“James is an extremely valued colleague and has been a fantastic leader of Salford Care Organisation for the past two-and-a-half years, helping Salford Royal to retain its Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. I know he will make a great success of his new role. “
James said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Salford Care Organisation. I’ve had brilliant colleagues and the pleasure of working alongside so many talented and caring people across our hospital, community and social care services.
“I look forward to seeing Salford continue to achieve great things over the coming years as part of the Northern Care Alliance. The organisation has so many outstanding and dedicated people working for it with such commitment to delivering the highest standards of care for patients and service users. Thank you to everyone for the support you’ve given me and your hard work over the past two-and-a-half years.”
It is anticipated James will move on to Mid Cheshire in the summer and the process to recruit and appoint his successor will get underway.
