Northern Care Alliance’s HSJ Awards’ short-list line-up
Five teams belonging to or working in partnership with the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group have been named in the shortlist of the prestigious Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.
Salford Care Organisation is finalist in four categories:
- HSJ Partnership of the Year – Along with Stericycle - Entry: Stericycle Bio Systems - Reusable sharps containers service
- Acute Sector Innovation - Entry: Senior palliative care team access 7 days a week
- Digitising Patient Services Initiative - Entry: Pinpoint accurate home urine-testing - with all the ease of taking a selfie
- Along with Salford Together partners – Entry: Salford Together – Integrating to improve outcomes
Our Bury and Rochdale Care Organisation, together with Bury Clinical Commissioning Group and the North West Paediatric Allergy and Infection Network, are finalists in the Community or Primary Care Service Redesign category for their submission: Empowering families & healthcare in milk allergy.
Northern Care Alliance Chief Executive Raj Jain said: “I am really proud of our teams and it’s great to see such a great mix of programmes of work under the spotlight from digital solutions through to bringing health and social care closer together through to supporting children with allergies.
“The HSJ Awards are a great platform for our teams to share and celebrate the tremendous work they are doing with colleagues across healthcare and of course for our people to learn best practice from others so that we can benefit the people we care for.”
Winners will be selected ahead of the 2019 HSJ awards ceremony, which is due to be held at the Battersea Evolution Centre, London on November 6th.
