NAHEED Nazir, Group Associate Director Inclusion & Engagement at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group (NCA), has been shortlisted for the Inclusive Companies Awards.

On 28 November, the Inclusive Companies Awards will celebrate those who go above and beyond the call of duty to improve the lives of others in workplaces and communities around them.

Naheed has been shortlisted for the Head of Diversity & Inclusion Award. Naheed said:

“I would like to say how humble I am to be nominated. I am passionate about my job and I am dedicated, because I believe in the agenda, and I want to ensure we have systems and processes in place to allow people to have a fair equitable service, every time. I believe this should be the case for patients, service users, carers and members of staff. This is about recognising people as individuals and aiming to cater for their needs, no matter what shape, size or format they come in.”

The awards finals will take place in Manchester at The Hilton Manchester Deansgate on 28 November.

The Inclusive Companies Awards is working in partnership with the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. This is a definitive list of the nation’s most inclusive companies, which will be unveiled at the ceremony.

The awards recognise employers that unite workforces and challenge discrimination, applauding those for their fight against inequality.

Christos Tsaprounis, Head of People & Culture, Auto Trader UK said:

“The Inclusive Companies Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of individuals and organisations across a wide spectrum of diversity.”

Alison Lowe, CEO of Touchstone, the UK’s most inclusive employer said:

“Diversity is not just something employers ought to do; it is something we must do.”

Paul Sesay, CEO and Founder of the Inclusive Companies Awards and National Diversity Awards, added:

"In difficult and challenging times, using the talent of a diverse workforce is more important than ever.”
