NCA makes NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards finals

THE Northern Care Alliance NHS Group has made the finals of the NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards.

The awards celebrate inspirational examples of businesses, third sector organisations and the NHS working together to provide great patient care in the North of England.

The awards are for any business which currently supplies goods, works for, or services an NHS trust in the North. The winners will be announced on the evening of Thursday 17 October at The Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

The NHS in the North Excellence in Supply Awards are hosted by the NHS Supply Chain Northern Customer Board and organised by the Innovation Agency. The awards are co-sponsored by Health Innovation Manchester and Yorkshire and Humber AHSN.

The Northern Care Alliance, which brings together Salford Royal and Pennine Acute trusts, has made the finals in the following categories.

NHS Procurement Rising Star award

Innovation award

  • Stericycle for Bio systems sharps management service at the Northern Care Alliance
  • Kimberly-Clark Professional for reducing hand hygiene spend and driving efficiencies at the Northern Care Alliance with Scott® Rolled Hand Towel.

Joe Lever, Group Procurement Director at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group said:
