|World Prematurity Day Tea Party|
15 November 2019 from 10:00 to 14:00
|Venue||Neonatal Unit, The Royal Oldham Hospital|
|Category||Patient Engagement Event|
World Prematurity Day will take place on 17th November and to mark the occasion, the Neonatal Unit team at Oldham will be hosting a tea party for families on Friday 15th November.
Families are being invited to drop in and have a catch up with the neonatal team and Spoons Charity volunteers between 10am - 2pm. All the NICU team will be wearing purple as a clear sign of support for this important awareness day, which aims to raise awareness of premature birth and the sometimes devastating impact it can have on families.
Did you know that there are 15 million babies born prematurely each year and that of that total one million babies won't survive?
One of the key aims behind this key awareness day is to encourage everyone to talk about premature birth and to raise awareness about the hurdles babies and their parents face, and overcome, every single day.
