We will discuss an appropriate appointment time and location with you.
We have a key focus on prevention, particularly in relation to lymphoedema, to reduce the risk of your condition becoming worse.
We work closely with Pennine Care’s Podiatry Service, to provide joined up care to people with a high risk foot condition.
You will receive a treatment plan detailing the care you are receiving, any medication and changes in your condition. This will ensure that all healthcare professionals involved in your care are fully informed and up to date.
Self-care and education
We aim to provide you with advice and information to enable you to better manage your own condition.
The aim is to support you to feel more confident, have greater independence and a better quality of life overall.
We also provide advice, information and training to professionals who are involved in caring for people with a wound, ulcer or lymphoedema, to equip them with the necessary skills. Training topics include pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, wound management products, aspects of wound assessment and more.
