Bury Children's Community Nursing Team
Bury Children's Community Nursing Service provides nursing care closer to home, for children from birth to 16 (or up to 19 years if under the care of a paediatrician) with the aim of deflecting hospital attendances and reducing the length of hospital stays.
We offer community clinics at various locations throughout the week across the Bury area.
We look after children with a nursing need with acute illnesses, long term conditions, palliative care needs and complex health care needs.
The Bury Children's Community Nursing Team also incorporates the paediatric diabetes nursing service & the special school nursing teams.
The Paediatric Diabetes nursing service cares for children, young people & families with Type 1 Diabetes from diagnosis to transition.
The special school nursing team are based at Millwood Special school & Elmsbank school, the team care for children & young people with complex health needs that attend the schools.
