Who is the service for?

Patients can be referred into the service by their Hospital Consultant to be seen as an outpatient or on the ward whilst an inpatient.

What does the service provide?

The service provides acute Podiatry care to patients with or at high risk of developing foot health problems often as a result of complications associated with Diabetes, Rheumatological or Vascular conditions.

Who will patients meet?

Patients will be assessed and reviewed by a Podiatrist who will be assisted in clinic by a Foot Care Assistant.

When is the service available?

Clinic days differ between sites with Podiatrists available across the Trust Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12.30pm and 1-4.30pm.

Where is the service provided?

Bury: Wrigley Suite, Outpatients Department, Fairfield General Hospital.  Best accessed from the main entrance of the hospital.

Rochdale: Podiatry Room, Pennine Rheumatology Department, Rochdale Infirmary.  Can be accessed from the main entrance of the hospital.

North Manchester: (Rheumatology clinics) Podiatry Room, Outpatients B, North Manchester General Hospital.  Can be accessed from main entrance C or the main entrance on Delaunays Road,

North Manchester (Diabetes Clinics) Diabetes Centre, North Manchester General Hospital. 

Oldham: (Diabetes clinics): Diabetes Centre, best accessed through the gate at the back of the hospital adjacent to the B&Q Superstore.  

Oldham (Rheumatology clinics) Podiatry Room, Ground Floor, K Block, Royal Oldham Hospital.  There is an entrance directly to the front of the Block; Podiatry can be found on the left hand side of the building.
