Who is the service for?

The service is for organisations (primarily NHS and private healthcare) to ensure they receive the linen supplies they require to perform the service and treatments they are providing.

What does the service provide?

The service provides linen supplies for patient/customer use and uniforms and protective workwear for staff use, incorporating sewing room services as required.

Laundry Services are provided to both Department of Health decontamination essential requirement standards (CFPP 0104) and to BS EN ISO 9001 and 14065 international quality and bio-contamination control standards.

Who will patients meet?

Patients are unlikely to meet members of the linen service team.

When is the service available?

The Laundry Department is available Monday to Friday 6am to 8pm and Saturday 6am to 12 noon and linen is provided to enable 24/7 service coverage.

Where is the service provided?

The service is based in a purpose built laundry at the The Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Road, Oldham, OL1 2JH with satellite services on the lower floor of Fairfield House, Fairfield General Hospital and the ground floor corridor of North Manchester General Hospital (B block).

Practical information

Patients staying overnight at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust should bring where possible nightwear and a dressing gown. Towels and other items will be provided by the hospital during your stay.
