Who is the service for?

Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

What does the service provide?

  • Outpatient appointments – both consultant and specialist nurse appointments
  • Investigations such as endoscopy and scans
  • Telephone advice
  • Inpatient support
  • Education regarding medications and disease
  • Signposting to other helpful agencies/charities/advice.

Who will patients meet?

Consultant Gastroenterologists – diagnose and treat patients with IBD

Specialist Nurse – supports patients in all aspects of care/living with IBD

When is the service available?

Monday –Friday 9am-5pm.

Where is the service provided?

Fairfield General Hopsital – outpatients.

The Royal Oldham Hospital – outpatients – K block.

North Manchester General Hospital – outpatients – outpatients A.

Rochdale Infirmary – outpatients – suite 5 and 6.

Various days throughout the week.
