Continence Service

Who is the service for?

The continence service will provide treatment and care to patients who suffer with urinary incontinence, prostate problems and faecal incontinence. Advice and management will be given to manage the problem. Patients can self refer, referred by carers, GP, consultant and other health care professionals 

The continence prescription service if for patients who obtain medical devices such catheters and stoma products on prescription. Advice and help is available. Patients can self refer. Referred by carers, GP or consultants and other health care professionals.

What does the service provide?

Continence service provides treatment such as pelvic floor exercises, bladder retraining, lifestyle advice.  Examinations of the pelvic floor, prostate are carried out. Bladder scans and flow rates are undertaken if required.

Who will patients meet?

The patients will meet their named nurse who will care from them throughout their treatment.

When is the service available?

The service is available Monday to Friday 08.30am – 16.30pm.

Cornerstones, Harpurhey, Plant Hill, Newton Heath, Cheetham.
