Patient and Public Involvement
We are committed to listening and responding to the issues and opinions of our patients.
Patient and public involvement allows patients to be involved in decisions about their care and enables communities be involved in their local health service. PPI helps empower patients and the public to talk about their local NHS services and allows health trusts the opportunity to respond to their views or concerns.
The purpose of involving patients and the public in our work is to ensure that the services we provide and commission truly reflect the needs of the people who use them. We work with a range of community groups and organisations including Health Watch, Age UK, Alzheimer's Society and Macmillan Cancer Relief. We also host a number of patient forums.
If you would like more information, such as details about any support groups or how you could become involved in the planning of your local health service for example, please contact the patient partnership manager on 0161 604 5880.
