Leisure and Wellbeing
The collection was established from donations and continues to be added to.
It consists of mainly fiction books by a diverse selection of authors including, Lee Child, James Patterson, Sophie Hannah, Tess Gerritsen, Maeve Binchy, Josephine Cox, Jodi Picoult, Marian Keyes, Celia Ahern, Cathy Kelly, Alexander McCall Smith and Terry Pratchett plus many more.
As well as novels we have a selection of Quick Read books which are a great way to get back into reading or ideal for short commutes or breaks. Quick Reads are bite sized books by big name authors and celebrities in a great range of fiction and non-fiction titles
The collection also has a smaller selection of non-fiction books including biographies.
This collection is based solely at Fairfield but is available for loan to all. To access the collection from a different site please view the library catalogue and make your request to any site library. Your selection will then be transferred to the most convenient site for you, for collection.
Each of the three site libraries has a well-being collection. The well-being collection is a collection of books which was introduced to complement the Trusts work life balance initiative.
This section includes books and resources covering medical conditions, self help guides, social and family issues.
We also have a collection of Books on Prescription titles.
The collection has information aimed at staff as individuals, rather than in a professional capacity, on routine medical conditions and treatments. It also includes self-help guides, stress management and relaxation, family issues, retirement and much more.
So visit the library and pick up a leisure or well-being book, a perfect alternative to a magazine and free to loan!
