Pregnant women and their families are invited to meet the midwives and support workers at North Manchester’s birthing centre and find out more about the services it has to offer local families.
A drop-in event has been organised for Sunday 9 December by the Hospital’s Birth Centre Manager, Yvonne Taylor.
Yvonne said: “We’ve got excellent facilities and a warm, welcoming environment for mums and families here at the Birth Centre along with a team of absolutely fantastic midwives and support staff. We’re all looking forward to our open day and meeting pregnant women who want to give birth at their local hospital. Please do come and join us for a chat and some cake and find out more about the Birth Centre here in North Manchester.”
The midwife-led birth centre includes private rooms with two birthing pools and offers privacy and home-from-home comforts, including en-suite facilities and facilities to accommodate birth partners.
Meet the Birth Centre Team is a drop-in event between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Sunday 9 December, and is open to pregnant women, their partners and other family members. Light refreshments will be provided.
The Birth Centre is situated in the hospital’s K block, which is accessible by entrance 1 of the hospital.
