Annual Public Meeting
The Trust will hold its Annual Public Meeting (APM) and drop-in Open Event on Wednesday 4 October 2017 at the Education Centre at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury.
The drop-in Open Event for the public will start at 3pm and run until 5.30pm. This will then be followed by the formal APM, which will include a presentation from the Chief Executive, Sir David Dalton, and Chairman, Mr Jim Potter, who will give a review of the last 12 months and the future plans for the Trust and its hospitals.
The public will have the opportunity to hear about the innovative and exciting work Pennine’s hospitals is currently involved in with Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust to create a Group of hospitals, community and healthcare services.
The results of the 2017 Group Shadow Governor Elections will also be announced at the meeting.
The Pennine Acute Trust’s Annual Report and Financial Accounts will be presented for formal adoption, followed by a public question and answer session.
The drop-in Open Event held prior to the APM promises to be more interactive than ever before, with a range of services and teams showcasing their work. Members of the public and Trust members will be able to talk to NHS Trust staff and view a variety of displays and exhibition stands, which will showcase a range of services, key developments and improvements that the Trust has delivered over the last 12 months.
Staff will provide information about a range of services including the Oasis medical dementia unit, the Trust’s award winning Stroke Service, Liver Disease, Older People’s Services, Volunteering and the Infection Control Team who will be providing free flu jabs.
The Pennine Acute Trust is one of the largest NHS Trusts in England employing over 9,000 staff, runs North Manchester General Hospital, The Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital in Bury, Rochdale Infirmary and a range of community healthcare services.
The public meeting is open to the public, patients, the Trust’s 12,500 public members, staff, partner agencies, and local patient and community groups. Booking is only required for the Annual Public Meeting.
