Current Issues
Norovirus outbreak
The Trust is advising patients and visitors to be vigilant. Norovirus is still very much in the community. Anyone who has been ill with symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting must not visit hospital unless necessary until they are symptom-free for two days. People usually recover fully within 3 days.
We would like to stress the appearance of Norovirus is not unusual at this time of year with many hospitals across Greater Manchester being affected. We would ask patients to follow the advice given by primary care and ambulance trusts.
