THE Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs maternity units at The Royal Oldham Hospital and North Manchester General, is investing £340,000 on new electronic fetal monitoring equipment as part of its Improvement Plan for supporting staff across its maternity services.

A CHEQUE for £1,370 has been presented to Consultant Neonatologist Natasha Maddock this week on the Neonatal Unit at The Royal Oldham Hospital, as a special ‘thank you’ from premature twins Lilly and Millie who were treated on the unit.

Green light for new £5m Intermediate Care Unit at North Manchester General Hospital

PLANNING permission for a brand new purpose-built 24 bed community Intermediate Care Unit situated in the grounds at North Manchester General Hospital, which will help ease bed blocking and support elderly patients being discharged from hospital, has now been approved by the city council.
